Delete your Padiflow account

You can delete your account from inside the Padiflow app, or ask us here if you cannot sign in. This page explains what happens, what is deleted, and what the law requires us to keep.

What happens

If you own the shop, deleting your account schedules the whole shop and everything in it for deletion in 30 days. You can change your mind: sign in to Padiflow at any point during those 30 days and the deletion is cancelled. After the 30 days it is permanent, and we cannot bring any of it back.

If you are staff in someone else's shop, deleting your account removes you straight away. The shop, its conversations, its customers and its orders belong to the owner and are not affected.

What is deleted

When a shop is deleted, so is all of this:

  • Conversations and messages from every connected channel
  • Photos, voice notes and files sent in those conversations
  • Customers and their contact details
  • Products, stock, collections and your store pages
  • The personal details on orders: names, phone numbers, email addresses, delivery addresses and notes
  • Connected channels, and the access tokens behind them
  • Your shop's Paystack keys

Orders themselves are not deleted, because our records of them cannot be unpicked from the payment records below. Instead everything personal is stripped out of them, leaving only amounts, dates and status.

What we have to keep

Nigerian tax and company law requires us to keep records of the payments you made to Padiflow: subscription payments, our invoices to you and the VAT on them. We keep your business name on those records, because an invoice is not valid without it, and we remove the personal details: names, email addresses and phone numbers.

We keep them for as long as that law requires, and delete them once the period is over.

If you completed identity checks with us, those records are kept for five years after deletion. Money-laundering rules require it. They are masked, and only the owner of the business can see them.

Everything else goes at the 30-day deadline.

Money is never held by Padiflow. Payments from your customers run through your own Paystack account and settle to you, so deleting your Padiflow account does not touch them. Your records with Paystack are between you and Paystack.

Deleting from the app

Open Settings › Account › Delete account. You will be asked for your password, and for a code from your authenticator app if you have two-factor sign-in switched on.

If you pay through Google Play

Deleting your Padiflow account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Google bills you, not us, so only you can stop it. Open the Play Store app and go to Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions, then cancel Padiflow there. Do it before the next renewal date, or you will be charged for another period.

Ask us instead

If you cannot sign in, or you no longer have the app, give us the email address on your account. We will send that address a link to confirm the deletion, and nothing is deleted until you open it. The link works for 24 hours.
